The arrogant vampire kings have always proclaimed themselves to be the rulers of all the non-humans making war between the species inevitable. In order to win, it is imperative that the shifters steal the chosen human female. The alpha wolf will take her for himself thus weakening the position of the bastard kings. No heirs means no future for the vampires.
Something Ward didn't bank on was that the yellow bellied elves would turn tail forcing the wolves to flee or face defeat.
In desperation, one of Ward's pack members grabs a female vampire taking her with him to the wolves’ hideout deep in the mountains. This was the first set of books that I read by Charlene and I feel in love with all of the characters. I still have yet to read the preceding series because I don't particularly like the vampire kings even though they have shown some improvement in later books. As an introduction to the world that Charlene created in all of her series I think this was best. I love the shifters and wish there were more stories involving them. I love the vampires too but they've been the main focus for a while now.This set still remains my favorite of Charlene's. I've read it a few times since I first read it a couple of months ago. The characters are strong and well developed. Best of all I don't want to kill the female lead. There's so many stories out there where I cringe at the female lead for their stupidity. Charlene's women tend to be very well written. There's only been a few that I didn't like which for me is a compliment. :)

Sephany is taken by mistake by the wolf shifters. To keep her safe ward will keep her with him in his cabin. Soon their attraction is to much for them. But she has to be taken back to the vampires but soon things become much more complicated. So enjoy the read and find out what all the complication are ! !
Stephany was captured by the wolves when the vampires fought valiantly to keep them away from Tanya. Alpha wolf Ward protected her from harm. They made whoopy and the rest is history. I feel bad for Lance though. Maybe he'll get his HEA later.
All I can say is I'm glad recommends books based on your previously purchased books. I stumbled on the 1st book because of liking to read sy-fy Vampire romance along with historical romance. I'm disabled and reading helps take me away. This book was hot and steamy although not quite as much as the first. I loved how the plot twisted and kept my eyes glued to the next word...sentence....etc. Wonderful storyline!Can't wait to read more of Hartnadys' books.
A fun, well paced story. Second book of the series, but can be read as a standalone. Although the world building is excellent, reading the stories in order will enhance your enjoyment of the story.
Made me feel a range of emotions throughout! Ups and downs during the entire book. On the edge of your seat suspense as well as an internal pull for all of the sexual scenarios that are encountered. Hot, hot, hot!
I loved this entire series! This is my second time to read The Chosen Series and I enjoyed it even more this time! The heat level is off the charts Hot! Absolutely amazing strong characters an fantastic storyline. The author Charlene Hartnadys imagination is off the charts creative and I love the way she brings all her characters together! I recommend this book and series to anyone that loves a good steaming sexy smoking hot read!
This set follows the "Chosen by the Vampire Kings" bundle. It is every bit as good as the first set and had me turning page after page hoping it would not end soon. Charlene Hartnady has a gift with words that has you right there in all the action.
This set is about Ward the Alpha of the Wolf Clan that was last seen in the Vampire king set fighting with the Vampires. In the process several of the wolves captured or kidnapped Stephany, King Brant right arm warrior thinking they were getting the Queen of the Vampires.
This book has lots of heat and even some funny bits in it. I can not wait to read Unlikely Mates but I am one of those who likes to read all the parts in one reading so I am impatiently waiting for Unlikely Mates to come out with a bundle of all parts. All of the books from this author have been great that I have read, so you can't go wrong with any of them.
